Spring has Sprung!! February 2013

                                                       Look at our beautiful art!

                   We celebrated the Chinese New Year by colouring and cutting out snakes!

 These Valentine cards were made lovingly by the children...each with their own special treat!

                        We made St. Brigid's crosses and learned a lovely song about her.

                                        Spring has most definitely sprung in our classroom!!

January 2013 : Garda Mulligan

 We are learning about the different people in our community who help us.

 Today we had a visit from Garda Mulligan who spoke to us about his job. He loves talking to children and telling them to wear their seatbelt when they are in the car!!

 He showed us his handcuffs and baton which he uses to protect himself from the bad people!!

Teddy Bear's Picnic

 Our teddies need special attention from the nice doctors. Some have broken limbs!!

                                                      Poor Teddy needs to go for an X-ray.

                                        Teddy needs some medicine. Fresh fruit is good for Teddy!

December 2012

 As a special treat for all our hard work rehearsing for our school play, we made rice krispie buns in school!!

 These are our ingredients.

 First break up the chocolate and melt it. (always ask an adult for help!)

 Then pour some rice krispies into a clean bowl.

 Add the melted chocolate, stir and.....

Hey presto! Yummy treats!!

Posting our Santa Letter!

 We went to the Post Office in early December to post our letter to Santa!

  We had to queue to buy a stamp from the nice lady at the counter.

 The Postbox is a little high!!

 Let's hope Santa brings us new toys for the classroom!!
